What is Feminine Essence?
Your feminine essence is the spiritual side of your femininity. It is your aura and the energy you give off as a woman. It’s about transparency, vulnerability, intuition, and using your unique gifts as a woman following her destiny. It is the ability to create beauty, whether in relationships, environments, or life experiences.
In today’s fast-paced world, many of us feel like we’re constantly juggling responsibilities, pushing through challenges, and existing in an energy that doesn’t always feel natural or fulfilling. For women, this can often lead to feeling disconnected from our soft, feminine essence—the core of who we truly are. Protecting this essence is about more than self-care; it’s about preserving your light, honoring your energy, and creating space to thrive in your femininity. Here’s how you can protect your feminine essence so that you’re following your true destiny and creating a beautiful, peaceful life for yourself.
This essence isn’t exclusive to women, as it complements masculine energy, creating balance. For women specifically, reconnecting with our femininity and protecting our feminine essence can feel like coming home to our authentic selves, allowing us to live in alignment with our natural passions and desires. Protecting your feminine essence is essential as a woman wanting to live a softer life.

1. Strengthen Your Internal GPS
Your intuition is one of many gifts that is unique to women, but so many of us don’t use this gift and we lose it! This can be seen by the influx of women chasing men and letting dusties get by with doing the bare minimum. It is so important to work on your self-confidence because it strengthens your intuition, allowing you to confidently make choices that bring you closer to your destiny. I strengthened my intuition through meditation and my discernment through prayer. You can start by meditating for 10 minutes a day until you can work up to 30 minutes. Pray according to your religious practice; I like to pray before bed, in the morning, and before meals throughout the day.
2. Maintain Your Beauty
There was a time when women spent hours a day maintaining their beauty as a currency. As women, we tend to feel guilty for our beauty because we don’t want people to assume that we “think we’re all that,” but the truth is, we are. When you maintain your beauty, it makes life a little easier for you. That’s just how society works, so instead of fighting against this, we should use it to our advantage. The methods we all use to maintain our individual beauty may differ, but there are some universal things we can do:

- Prioritize your health and fitness: Moving your body in a way that feels best for you and eating lots of healthy, nutritious foods will have you glowing from the inside out.
- Develop beauty rituals: Throughout history, women have had beauty rituals to keep us looking our most magnetic. One of my rituals is listening to Goddess Affirmations on YouTube while resting to subconsciously make me more magnetic and alluring. I record all my rituals in a journal to save for my daughter and nieces to pass down to them when they become of age.
- Maintain the big three—hair, nails, and brows: The things we do to maintain our beauty should always be in our budget to protect our feminine essence. Even on a budget, as long as you keep your hair neatly done, nails manicured, and brows groomed, you will look feminine and put together.
- Dress for your body type and “season”: In the words of April Mason, “Get rid of anything in your closet that doesn’t make you look like a 10!” Learning your body type and season and then incorporating this into your daily routine will have you looking model-ready at all times.
3. Date Up, Never Down!
If you’ve already been doing most of what’s been suggested above, you will rarely run into these issues, but I still want to briefly touch on this. Oftentimes, we go through things in adolescence that shape how we show up for ourselves romantically. This is why shadow work is essential. There are so many ways to heal, whether through therapy or spiritual counsel. You want to already have that confidence built and intuition strengthened so that you aren’t settling for dust behavior. When I was younger, I didn’t always understand this, but once I prioritized healing, life became so grand! I actually enjoy dating and how men show up for me, treating me like the queen I deserve.

Know you deserve the best in love, not something that makes you feel incomplete. I also want to note how essential it is to protect your womb until commitment, security, and protection have been established by a healthy, masculine man. Giving undeserving men your womb can lead to pregnancy, and having a baby with the wrong man will not magically make him deserving of such a gift.

Final Thoughts
Protecting your feminine essence is about reconnecting with who you truly are and honoring yourself as the goddess you’re meant to be. By strengthening your intuition, maintaining your beauty, and setting high standards in love, you’re preserving your light and also creating a life of peace, joy, and abundance. Bask in your feminine energy, and your life will transform in the most beautiful of ways.
